I've loved dancing all my life, starting as a small child in tap and ballet classes, and later in High School and College as an officer in the drill team. During this time I performed at Cowboys and Oilers half times, shows, parades, movies and newspaper features. I also discovered my love for teaching at an early age, teaching a dance training class for the high school.
I first began partner dancing as an amateur in Country Western competitions. After attending my first Latin competition, I knew I had to dance Latin. I then competed ProAm with world competitor and National Champion Corky Ballas. Corky gave me invaluable training for which I am very grateful.
10 years ago I decided to teach and compete professionally. Throughout the years, I have been blessed with several excellent partners with whom I have won numerous rising star and open titles such as Heart of America, Southwest Invitational, Must, Vernon Brock Open, plus many others. I have also enjoyed performing in shows and judging dance competitions.
I'm often asked what my favorite dance is, and the truth is I enjoy all types of dancing; Salsa, Latin, Ballroom, Swing and Country Western. I just love to dance! I also enjoy sharing the joy of dancing with others. I find it especially rewarding to see students faces light up when they realize they can dance. I encourage everyone to dance with passion.
